The growth challenge

When the engagement began in 2023, DPU Online received approximately 7,000–8,000 monthly visits and was struggling to expand organic visibility. The audit identified another domain carrying substantially overlapping DPU Online University content. Two properties targeting similar intent can divide authority, confuse canonical signals and make performance diagnosis difficult.

The strategy TTDigitals implemented

TTDigitals selected one primary property, improved it around transparent institutional and programme information, and permanently redirected the secondary property at URL level. Priority templates were planned with wireframes before implementation so each page could answer a distinct search and admissions task. Outreach and editorial placements on relevant education websites supported discovery and authority without relying on indiscriminate link volume.

Optimization parameters that guided the programme

Domain consolidation

Redirect mapping was reviewed page by page to preserve relevance instead of sending every legacy URL to the homepage.

Canonical consistency

Sitemaps, internal links and canonical tags needed to reinforce the same preferred URLs.

E-E-A-T evidence

Institutional identity, programme details, accreditation context, authorship and update ownership were made easier to evaluate.

Template intent

Wireframes separated programme comparison, eligibility, curriculum and enquiry tasks rather than forcing every page into one layout.

Link quality

Relevance, editorial context and destination-page usefulness mattered more than the raw number of backlinks.

Measured outcome

TTDigitals’ internal analytics records show monthly organic traffic rising from approximately 8,000 to 16,000 within two years. This represents about 100% growth. The result is attributed to the combined effect of consolidation, page redesign, improved information quality and relevant off-site authority work; it should not be interpreted as the outcome of redirects alone.

What this case teaches growth teams

When two domains compete for the same subject, publishing more content can deepen the problem. Resolve ownership and canonical signals first, then invest in page quality and authority.

Measurement and claim notes

Performance figures on this page are based on TTDigitals’ internal campaign records and the historical information supplied for this case study. They have not been independently audited. Traffic, lead, spend and admission figures are approximate; results from another organisation will vary with market demand, offer, budget, website, sales capacity and measurement quality.
